My mom was pretty disgusted when we were vacationing in Florida and I caught a lizard. I thought I had the whole critter in my mouth but apparently, his long tail was sticking out, which gave me away. Mom freaked out when she saw me. After she yelled and jumped up and down a lot, I felt sorry for her and spit Mr. Lizard out of my mouth. I was on lizard-watch for the rest of our vacation!

Well let’s see, Wyatt ate a road flare! But the nastiest? Let’s just say it was a big steamy pile of something that clearly didn’t come from a dog.

Maxidad here, logging in under my wife’s account. Although our adolescent pup Bernie (aka Bernie bin Laden) is the usual suspect for most mayhem around our house, our other dog Linda has the monopoly on disgusting food habits.

The worst thing she ever managed to grab was a week-old dead fish. Whenever a fish from our aquariums dies, I bury it somewhere in the garden so it can fertilize my plants. One time a large fish of ours died and I didn’t do a good enough job of burying it. Linda, with her unerring nose for the revolting, dug it up and started snacking on it before I could grab her away from it. Nasty pig.

And although we managed to grab her before she ate it, she also tried gobbling a caterpillar one time at the nursery. I was buying some plants when a pulpy looking white caterpillar fell out of one of them and started squirming across the counter. Ever the counter-cruiser, Linda hopped up on her hind legs to peek over the counter, then turned her head sideways and started licking and chomping in an attempt to grab it like an anteater. Almost worked, too, but my wife and I grabbed her just as the caterpillar stuck to her lips, and flicked it away. Doesn’t get much grosser than that.

That’s so gross! When JoJo had the bug it was crawling and it looked like..caramelized. But if I yelled enough shed put it down.

Maybe I should be counting my blessings that it was only a bug..
